Kris Jenner details 'disappointment' after discovering daughter Kourtney's 'Vegas wedding'

Kris Jenner discusses her 'disappointment' at her daughter Kourtney's budget Las Vegas wedding in the latest episode of Hulu's The Kardashians.

Kourtney and her now-husband Travis Barker 'tied the knot' in a $199 ceremony just hours after the Grammy Awards earlier this year.

It was never a real wedding as the pair's bargain do was missing one important element, a marriage license – with Kourtney later saying it was a "practise" ceremony.

That was back in April earlier this year, and just one month later the couple did eventually say 'I do' again, this time on the Italian Riviera coastline in Portofino.

Although, for the first time, we see mum Kris' reaction after finding out the news.

Speaking in a confessional, she said: "I'm not going to lie, it would be so disappointing if Kourtney really got married in Vegas and I wasn't there."

She is seemingly upset after Kim did the same on her first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas – tying the knot in Vegas, in secret.

Kris said: "But, I guess I'll get over it, I mean... been there, done that. Kim did it too. She didn't even tell me when she came home."

One of the show's producers quizzed Kris, asking if Kim was 'afraid' of her mum when she got married for the first time back in 2000.

"Yeah, I'd be afraid of me too. You know what I mean," the momager quipped.

After her confessional, the preview shows the moment sister Kim and mum Kris are reading about the news of Kourtney's Vegas wedding.

"Are we sure it's not real," Kris asks Kim. She responds: "I mean, you can look it up on the Clark County website." Kris replies: "That's how we found out you were married."

The teaser clip does not show the moment the family realise the impromptu nuptials were not a legal union due to the lack of license.

At the time, Kourtney shared a series of 'wedding' snaps on her Instagram.

She captioned the carousel: "Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect."

They had requested that an Elvis Presley impersonator conducted the wedding and according to One Love Wedding Chapel's owner Marty Frierson, it was "very important" for the pair to have "the Vegas experience".

Travis proposed to Kourtney in October 2021 in California at Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel. He presented her with a massive oval-shaped diamond ring.

The Kardashians continues Wednesdays on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK.
