Kris Doolan wanted by Dundee as James McPake joins race to land freed Partick Thistle icon

Dundee have joined the race to land Kris Doolan.

Championship rivals Ayr and Morton, along with League One Airdrie, have expressed an interest.

And new Dundee boss James McPake wants the striker – a free agent after a decade at Partick Thistle – as part of their bid to get back up.

The Dark Blues, who will head to Murcia this pre-season, are also interested in out-of-contract Ton midfielder Michael Tidser.

McPake is spinning several plates just now and is also keen on a move for Rangers striker Zak Rudden, if he is allowed back on-loan and former Hibs defender Jordon Forster.
