CHICAGO _ May 9 will be an easy day for Kris Bryant to remember for the rest of his life.
Bryant hit his 100th career home run in the first inning Wednesday as the Cubs rolled to a 13-4 win over the Marlins to complete a three-game series sweep. Bryant hit his homer on the third anniversary of his first major-league homer at Milwaukee.
Anthony Rizzo smacked a three-run homer off Wei-Yin Chen during an eight-run third that highlight a five-RBI performance. Addison Russell, who started the rally with a double, capped it with a two-run home run _ his first of the season. Russell reached base in all five of his plate appearances.
Bryant replaced Jason Heyward, who is on the seven-day concussion disabled list, in right field. David Bote, who hit a pinch-hit two-run double Tuesday, started at third base.
The eight-run third was the Cubs' second-largest rally of the season. They scored nine in the eighth inning of a 14-10 win over the Braves on April 14.
Rizzo hit a pair of RBI doubles in the fourth and sixth. Willson Contreras became the first Cubs' catcher to hit two triples in a game since Steve Swisher in 1976.
Jose Quintana, making his seventh start of the season for the Cubs, pitched six innings of five-hit ball.
Before the game, the Cubs selected the contract of reliever Justin Hancock and promoted outfielder Mark Zagunis from Triple-A Iowa. Pitchers Jen-Ho Tseng and Rob Zastryzny were optioned to Iowa.
Hancock allowed a two-run home run to Miguel Rojas in the seventh. Zagunis hit a single into right field in the seventh for his first major-league hit.
