Kris Boyson was forced to stand up for himself after fans accused him for being "disrespectful" by posing with his foot up on the 9/11 memorial.
The 30-year-old was visiting Ground Zero on a trip to New York with his mum and girlfriend Katie Price but upset followers with the picture he shared on his Instagram.
Fans were quick to attack the personal trainer, with many taking to the comments section to share their thoughts on the image.
One said: "You have your foot up on a memorial... very disrespectful."
While another added: "I hope you know people died in the place where you are smiling and putting your foot on."
But after receiving heaps of online criticism for posing that way, Kris posted a screenshot of the pic on his Instagram story, writing: "How can this picture of me and my mum...cause this..."
In a later story, he wrote: "To my followers who were offended...give me a break, I was there to pay my respects!"
It comes as rumours of Katie Price have another proposal coming her way began to circulate after jetting off to New York with her fella after they were spotted mooching around a jewellery shop last week.
Despite her recent bankruptcy, Katie is still living in the lap of luxury on a budget-busting trip to the Big Apple at Christmas time.
The former glamour model headed off on a not-so-secret trip to the States with her boyfriend following their recent relationship revival.
This is the third time the mum-of-five, 41, is giving it a go with 30-year-old personal trainer Kris.
They started dating in June 2018, weeks after her split from third husband Kieran Hayler, but they split months later when she hooked up with businessman Alex Adderson.
Katie and Kris got back together after she was arrested on suspicion of drink driving on the night of his 30th birthday party.
She was later cleared of drink driving but was found guilty of being drunk in charge of a car.

Kris shared a string of videos from around New York City, with Christmas songs like Let It Snow playing over the top.
He also pointed out how "British" he is, showing the scenes around him where everyone was wrapped up for winter in warm coats, scarves and hats, while he was wearing a pair of shorts.
Kris also visited the famous Rockerfeller Christmas tree with his mum.
