As we’ve discussed before, NFL teams often use the interview portion of the scouting combine to ask prospects odd questions in hopes of drawing a reaction.
These questions can be weird — like a staring contest — or inappropriate like what former Texas cornerback Kris Boyd said he was asked on Sunday.
According to Boyd, an undisclosed NFL team asked him if he had both his testicles. Really.
The question wasn’t the worst thing NFL teams have reportedly asked over the years, but in a job interview setting, this would cross a line.
Just as there’s no reason to hold a staring contest, there’s no reason to ask Boyd about his anatomy. These measurables are more important to NFL teams anyway.
There are more appropriate ways to ask prospects unexpected questions … or, you know, maybe just discuss football. They are football players, after all.
