Kris Boyd mocks Jose Mourinho to Celtic chat as he outlines cheeky next Rangers boss scenario

Pundit Kris Boyd hasn't been shy in taking pot shots at Celtic this season.

The former Rangers striker has lapped up the relentless charge from Steven Gerrard's side towards the Premiership title, and hasn't been able to resists a dig at the dethroned champions along the way.

He couldn't mask his delight in making another swipe at the Parkhead club while on Sky Sports during commentary duties for the St Johnstone clash.

The panel were locked in talks about the future of Jose Mourinho after he was axed by Tottenham earlier this week.

Bookmakers have surprisingly added him to the list of candidates in the running to replace Neil Lennon in Glasgow.

The chat was interrupted when Scott Wright netted the opening goal of the clash with St Johnstone - minutes after Celtic had fallen behind in Aberdeen.

However, when it cut back to Boyd he offered only one reason the Champions League winner would take a job north of the border.

He said: "If Steven Gerrard was to leave Rangers he might want to come there because that’s a bigger club.

“But Celtic? Absolutely no chance.

“Let’s move on.”
