Kris Boyd laughs off Rangers offside claim as he fires 'eyesight' quip at Graham Alexander

Perplexed Kris Boyd has laughed off Graham Alexander's claim that Rangers equaliser was offside joking you would need "some eyesight" to think he was beyond the last man.

The Motherwell boss insisted at the full-time whistle that his side should have taken all three points as he believes Cedric Itten had strayed beyond the defensive line when Borna Barisic delivered the cross that created the goal.

However, former 'Well striker James McFadden struggled to mount a defence for Alexander on Sky Sports following his post-match interview as he attempted to pinpoint the defender who could be playing the Swiss hitman offside.

He said: "I'm not convinced, but I can see his point of view. I think if you you look at [Declan] Gallagher..."

Before Boyd cut across his fellow pundit joking: "Just someone."

He laughed: "The eyesight you need to see that one."

McFadden added: "It's hard to tell from the camera angle, but from that angle it looks like Gallagher is playing him on side."

Overall Boyd admitted he was disappointed with the showing at Fir Park admitting it was a sluggish showing from Steven Gerrard 's side.

He added: "There was no urgency in Rangers play and it's as if they were just waiting for something to happen.

"Rangers were better in the second half but you need to be right on the front foot from the off, especially when it gets to this stage of the season, Rangers should be looking and saying lets go out here for the first 15-20 minutes and start the game at a tempo where the opposition can't live with us.

"So, it's important that they get back to that."
