Kris Boyd in Celtic barb as Rangers hero fires back at John Kennedy red card claim

Pundit Kris Boyd insists he has no clue what Celtic boss John Kennedy is talking about as he blasted referee Nick Walsh.

Rangers ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at Ibrox in a humbling afternoon for the dethroned champions as they fell 23 points behind their rivals.

It's the first time in two decades that the Hoops have went a full season without a win over their Glasgow neighbours.

However, interim boss Kennedy boss focussed in on the display of Walsh and the second yellow card shown to Callum McGregor.

McGregor fouled Ryan Kent and Kennedy claims Walsh told him the challenge was "reckless" at half-time, but he felt it was harsh to show him the yellow.

Boyd was hailing the performing of the Rangers winger during the dominant attacking display from Steven Gerrard's side, but couldn't resist a dig at the claim of the temporary Parkhead boss.

When discussing Kent with Sky Sports post-match, he said: "He's just so clever.

"It's what he does with the ball and the areas he picks up, he's just so clever. His product, his end product.

"He gets there (looking at McGregor foul). I don't know what John Kennedy is talking about there to be brutally honest, he had another one just before it as well.

"But it's the way (Kent) shapes it up and moves it one."
