Kris Boyd in barbed Rangers response to Aberdeen fans as he makes 'season ticket' jibe at Pittodrie punters

Kris Boyd has hit out at the Aberdeen support after Rangers fell to a 2-0 defeat at Pittodrie.

A hit from Liam Scales and a Bojan Miovski diving header put Barry Robson's side into a comfortable two-goal lead, with stellar game management allowing them to move to a seventh straight Premiership victory. It puts them in a commanding position to clinch third heading into the post-split fixtures with seven straight wins.

It's also the first defeat for Rangers boss Michael Beale by a side outside of Celtic since he took the reins at Ibrox back in January. Speaking on Sky Sports, Boyd was asked for his instant reaction to the events in the north, and the former Light Blues striker admitted he was surprised to see those in red still in the stands: "Second half they (Rangers) were woeful, absolutely no doubt about it.

"First half, they created a few chances and if you don't take them then you run the risk of being punished. That is what happened. Aberdeen were unbelievable and fair play to them, cause I thought with your season ticket you had to be out the stadium for 80-odd minutes when you played against Rangers but they are in to the end and enjoying it."
