Kris Boyd fights Alfredo Morelos' corner as he queries Rangers replay call

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd claims Alfredo Morelos' reputation precedes him when it come to incidents during matches...before the striker was sent off.

As the players left the field at Fir Park at the end of the first half of the Premiership clash, both sides were involved in a bit of handbags after a coming together just before the whistle.

Declan Gallagher, Allan McGregor , Liam Donnelly and Ryan Jack were the main players involved. It came after Morelos had clipped Gallagher as the Motherwell centre back was about to play a pass.

The ref waved play on but there was some shoving between the two sets of players and it continued into half time with Gallagher and Jack both being booked.

But Boyd , working for Sky Sports, is adamant there was no need for a half-time inquest on the Colombian and his involvement after the broadcaster aired a replay.

He said: "If it was not Alfredo Morelos, we wouldn't be showing it."

Morelos was sent off five times last season in all competitions but has demonstrated a growing maturity this campaign - before he picked up a red during the second period.

The forward has also netted 26 goals in all competitions, including 14 in Europe to help fire his side into the last 32 of the Europa League.
