Kris Boyd delivers Rangers one-liner as John Hartson gives title verdict

Kris Boyd bit back at John Hartson as the Celtic hero insisted all the pressure is on Rangers in the title race.

Steven Gerrard's side extended their lead over the Hoops to 19 points ahead of the Premiership champions' visit to Hamilton Accies.

Ianis Hagi's first half goal was enough to see off Hibs in a tight contest at Ibrox.

Afterwards, Hartson remarked it's now up to Rangers to prove they can handle the heat from now on in.

He said on Sky Sports: "Celtic have been there, the titles have gone their way for the past nine years.

"Let's see Rangers now. Celtic have always been at the top, they haven't had to deal with being behind.

"Now, they're looking forward, looking up ahead.

"Rangers have a massive lead, it'd be a travesty now if they were to let this lead go.

"All the pressure now turns on Rangers."

But a grinning Boyd was quick to point out they've handled the pressure just fine thus far.

He replied: "It's not bad pressure right enough, 19 points clear..."

The pair shared a laugh before Hartson made sure he got the final word.

He said: "Good, very good. Can you handle it? That's the big key."
