Kris Boyd bemused at Jota 'handball' shout from James Tavernier as Rangers hero says 'haven't a clue'

Kris Boyd says he 'hasn't a clue' how James Tavernier would think there was a Jota handball in the lead up to a Celtic goal.

The Rangers hero was bemused at the claims from the Light Blues captain after he used his post-match interview discuss his 'disappointment' at some key decisions. VAR did come under the spotlight but referee Kevin Clancy took the plaudits for a commanding showing as referee. Michael Beale also echoed Tavernier's claims and blasted VAR for being 'picky'.

Both of the Rangers persuasion insist a handball occurred as Ben Davies made a calamitous error to hand Kyogo his second goal but the Sky Sports panel insist there was no such infringement from the Portuguese star. Boyd even admitted he was bemused at what the defender had supposedly seen.

Boyd told Sky Sports: "No I don't know what angle Tavernier has managed to see a handball at. You can tell by where Jota grabs after it tells you exactly where it hit.

"If I'm James Tavernier I would be coming out and saying more about the defending. Ben Davies looks and sees it Jota. Just go and clear it. You always go back to the greats, Richard Gough and Davie Weir - they would have gone right through you.

"He tried to duck away from it. Regarding the hand ball? I haven't a clue what he's seen there."
