Kris Ajer transfer latest as Celtic star handpicks new agent

Kris Ajer has handpicked his new agency after parting ways with Tore Pederson.

The Celtic defender didn't renew his contract with the Norwegian after the representative claimed Ajer wanted to leave Parkhead last season.

The centre-half has now joined forces with Sports Entertainment Group (SEG) based in the Netherlands.

SEG represents various high profile players around Europe including Memphis Depay and Daley Blind.

Speaking to the Norwegian media, Pederson spoke about the pair's split: "My contract with Kris expired this May.

“Why wasn’t it renewed? Kris must answer about his choice, if he wants to.

“Did I want to renew? Yes, of course. Kris is a brilliant guy and a very good central defender.

“I have followed his career since he was 15 years old. I wish him all the best in the future.”

Meanwhile, Ajer's heart is reportedly set on a move away from the Premiership champions according to a 'source inside the dressing room', claims The Athletic.

The 22-year-old has two years left on his current deal and the report states he has told the club and his team-mates that he doesn't to plan to extend it.
