Kove seems to be the next big Chinese manufacturer that the West needs to pay attention to after CFMoto. The Kove 450 Rally is receiving rave reviews almost everywhere you look online, not just for its capability but for its value, and it's worth mentioning that the brand took 15th overall in this year's Dakar using this platform. Lesser known is the fact that Kove also produces motocross bikes in the form of the MX250 and MX450, and this range is about to double.
Kove recently revealed that it'll add 250 and 450 Enduro models to its off-road lineup. Exact details are still slim, but here's what we know so far. The new Enduro lineup will be released less than a month after the official launch of the MX250 and MX450 in the UK, although we don't yet know the price, butKove says those details will be "revealed in the near future."
Along with the price, we expect to get a full rundown of the spec sheet for both the 250 and 450. We know both bikes will use single-cylinder engines and, currently, the MX250 produces 37 bhp and 18.4 Ib-ft of torque, while the 450 pumps out 61.1 bhp and 36.8 Ib-ft of torque. So I'd expect similar figures from the Enduro models.
Kove has said that the new 450 Enduro will benefit from a Dakar-spec engine, and that's potentially the most exciting piece of info we have about these bikes. However, what a "Dakar-spec" engine means exactly remains to be seen.
As with the MX models, the front bump absorption will be taken care of by fully adjustable 49mm upside-down forks and, at the rear, there'll be a fully-adjustable Yuan monoshock. Again, just like on the MX models, the Enduro lineup will benefit from Taisko brakes, using a dual-piston floating caliper at the front and a single-piston floating caliper at the rear.
The MX250 costs $5,999, and the 2026 450 is just $7,699, so if the Enduro models are as competitively priced as those two, which I'm sure they will be, would you consider picking one up?
