Frank Lampard really had Jose Mourinho’s number last season and there is a massive incentive for Chelsea and Spurs this afternoon.
With Liverpool drawing at Brighton, the Blues have the chance to go top of the Premier League. But that incentive is the same for Tottenham too.
Last season, Lampard played three at the back against Mourinho's men and the Blues secured two league wins over their London rivals.
It would be tempting for the Chelsea boss to go back to those ways, but with such a solid back four recently, it would be a surprise for Lampard to revert to that formation.
Edouard Mendy will be in goal, of course, while Reece James and Ben Chilwell should take their places in the full-back positions. In the middle of the back four, Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva should keep their partnership going in the heart of defence.
With a 4-3-3, N’Golo Kante will play in the deeper role, and Mason Mount will no doubt be on one side.
The big question is whether or not Kai Havertz replaces Mateo Kovacic. The Croation has performed well back in the side and should keep his place, to give a little more defensive edge to the side.
Even though he performed well at Rennes, Callum Hudson-Odoi will likely come out of the side, with Hakim Ziyech back in.
Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham will also likely start up top. Christian Pulisic is back to full fitness, but will likely start on the bench against Spurs.
Predicted Chelsea team: Mendy; James, Zouma, Thiago Silva, Chilwell; Kovacic, Kante, Mount; Ziyech, Abraham, Werner.
