Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that her 10-year-old son Mason is already learning the importance of a skincare routine.
During a recent video interview with Harper’s Bazaarabout her daily skincare routine, Kardashian said that she has been making sure that her three children, Mason, Penelope, seven, and Reign, five, all understand how important self-care is - a lesson she learned from her own mother Kris Kardashian.
“My mom has always instilled in us self-care and taking care of ourselves,” Kardashian said. “[She] always taught us, from young kids, when you get out of the shower you put on lotion. She taught us how to shave our legs.”
According to the reality star, she has since starting passing these lessons down to her own children, with her eldest son already taking an interest in skincare.
“Mason, even, I just went through a whole skincare routine with him,” the Poosh founder said. “We started, we did a mask, we did everything, we wrote down all the steps and we put it in his drawer in his bathroom and he loves to do it and feel like, you know, he’s taking care of his skin.”
“I think that it is an important thing to teach girls and boys, how my mom taught us, to take care of ourselves,” Kardashian added.
Although she did not reveal how many steps Mason’s routine is, Kardashian explained in the video that her own daily skincare routine includes eight steps.
While skincare routines vary by person, board-certified medical dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr Melanie Palm previously told us there are two skincare steps minimum that everybody should follow.
