Kourtney Kardashian leading calls for second season of Normal People

Kourtney Kardashian has joined the list of stars and fans wordwide begging for a second season of Normal People.

The TV adaption of Sally Rooney’s novel been the gift that keeps on giving throughout the pandemic, reaching fans far and wide with it’s touching coming of age Irish tale.

And as BBC are said to be eager to get a second season in the pipeline, reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian is also urging creators to get to work on a sequel.

The Poosh founder, who revealed she was a major fan of the show earlier this month, said: “Need a season two @normalpeople,” she wrote, before adding a broken heart emoji.

It comes just after we revealed BBC bosses are said to be “in talks” with Mayo born author Sally Rooney about penning a second series.

In the meantime, Paul Mescal’s star continues to rise online with West End legend Andrew Lloyd Webber inviting the Kildare native to work together.

And while the Maynooth man has received huge praise and attention since starring as heart-throb Connell Waldron in the BBC adaptation, the actor admitted he couldn’t quite believe it when the theatre mogul reached out to him on Sunday.

After discovering that Paul once appeared in a school production of his theatre show The Phantom Of The Opera, the hailed composer wrote: H‘Hi Paul! I heard that you are part of the Phantom alumni, fancy a singalong? - ALW.’

Paul responded in shock, saying: “OMG is this a real thing.”

Andrew’s invitation refers to his weekly singalongs that he has been conducting each Sunday since the lockdown to lift the spirits of his followers.

And fans are desperate to make the collaboration a reality, telling the Paul: “Please say yes.”

“Imagine telling yourself a year ago Andrew Lloyd Webber would want a singalong? Mental! Can’t wait for this,” another said.
