Kourtney Kardashian has been left “hysterical” after accidentally breaking her engagement ring following Travis Barker’s proposal.
The 43-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star recently admitted to her mum Kris Jenner that her engagement ring was being fixed after the unfortunate blunder.
Speaking during the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the bride-to-be revealed that she was left devastated after accidentally standing on her ring.
The enormous diamond band is rumoured to be worth over $1 million.
“I was sitting on my floor folding sweatshirts. I took the ring off and I put it next to me on the floor, like, thinking it would be safe right next to me,” Kardashian explained during the episode.
“I had to get something up above in my closet, and when I stepped down, I stepped on the ring.”
Kardashian went on to admit she was “hysterically crying in my closet for hours” and was in disbelief over the accident.
“I was just like, ‘This is the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever had in my life, and how could I have done that?’” She added.
Luckily, Barker reassured her everything would be ok and the ring was sent off for repairs.
Kardashian and Barker got engaged in October 2021 after less than a year of dating.
The love birds, who recently documented the proposal in an episode of The Kardashians, are yet to reveal whether they have set a date for the wedding.
Prior to their big day, the couple were able to practice their nuptials after revealing they held a wedding in Las Vegas without a marriage licence.
As well as wedding plans, Kardashian and Barker have shared they are trying for a baby together.
The couple’s efforts to start a family have also featured in scenes of the family’s reality show.
They have been undergoing IVF treatment, however, the mum-of-three revealed the process hadn’t always been easy.
In a previous episode, Kardashian explained the medication she had been prescribed was having a negative effect on her mood.
She said: “Travis and I want to have a baby and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF and it hasn’t been the most amazing experience. The medication basically put me into depression.”
Despite the setbacks, Kardashian and Barker recently revealed their IVF journey had progressed to its best stage yet and they were hopeful about hearing some positive news.
