A KOTARA gym has been added to the Hunter's COVID exposure list.
Hunter New England Health flagged the EMF gym at Westfield Kotara shopping centre on Thursday night.
It has been dubbed a casual contact exposure, meaning anyone who attended should get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Health authorities said they will reach out to anyone who may be deemed a close contact directly.
The gym's exposure windows fall on Wednesday October 13 from 10am to 11.05am and on Thursday October 14 from 9.10am to 10.15am.
It is the first public exposure site identified in the region since Tuesday.
Kotara South Public School is closed until further notice for cleaning and contact tracing, after at least one school community member tested positive for COVID-19.
All staff and students have been asked to self-isolate and follow health advice and protocols.

Morpeth's Commercial Hotel was listed on the NSW Health website as a casual contact venue, but Hunter New England Health said it has since been removed after an assessment showed there was no risk to patrons.
This weekend will offer a walk-in vaccination blitz for people aged between 12 and 15 years old, who must be accompanied by a parent.
Walk-in appointments are available at the Belmont hub from 8am to 2.45pm on Saturday and Sunday, as well as 9.30am to 12.30pm both days at Muswellbrook hospital's vaccination clinic.
Medowie Public School will also have a pop-up clinic open 10am to 1pm on Sunday.
