The Prime Minister of Kosovo was pelted with eggs yesterday as he defended granting more powers to the country's Serb minority.
Isa Mustafa's sppech was being broadcast live, as opposition politicians stood up and began hurling eggs at the prime minister.
Watch footage of the protest here:
Bodyguards moved to defend Mr. Mustafa, one shielding him with an umbrella.
The parliament's speaker, Kadri Veseli, brought an end to the session, shouting "shame, shame, shame!" at the protesters.
The EU brokered a deal last month to give Kosovo's Serb minority more rights over municipal spending and education, with access to funding from Serbia itself.
The largely Albanian Kosovo gained independence from Serbia in 2008 and opposition politicians believe the new deal will only deepen the existing ethnic divide in the young Balkan country.
Relations have improved between Serbia and Kosovo in recent years as both countries hope to gain EU membership, despite Belgrade not recognising Kosovo as sovereign.
