American nu metal band Korn has released “Reward the Scars,” a new single made for Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. The song went live on April 23, only a few days before Blizzard releases the expansion and its accompanying Season of Reckoning update.
“Reward the Scars” marks Korn’s first major release since 2022. The band leans into its signature heavy guitar tone and darker themes, which fit nicely into the Diablo IV aesthetic and make a particularly good fit with the upcoming expansion, with its themes of suffering, endurance, and transformation.
The single cover itself has the official Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred branding, and the track is already available on YouTube and streaming platforms.
The song is getting an official music video on the day of the expansion release as well. The “Reward the Scars” music video premieres on Monday, April 27, at 12pm CT / 10am PT.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred includes a new campaign, the Skovos region, endgame additions such as War Plan, Echoing Hatred, and Horadric Cube, and several system changes, including skill tree reworks, level cap increase, and a loot filter. The expansion also brings two classes, Paladin and Warlock. The former has been available to anyone who pre-ordered Lord of Hatred, while the latter will become playable when the update launches. The expansion brings the number of available classes to eight.
Lord of Hatred pits the players against Mephisto, an overarching antagonist who left his mark on both the original campaign and the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred arrives on April 27 (or 28, depending on the region), 2026, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
The standard edition of Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred costs $39.99, the deluxe is the price of a full game at $59.99, while the ultimate edition is a whopping $89.99.
