Koppaberg rosé cider is launching in two major UK supermarkets

It might not be beer garden weather right now, but we shouldn’t let that get in the way of enjoying the great British summer – or we can at least try.

Koppaberg has come up with the perfect solution by launching a delicious new rosé cider, which means we can create our very own beer gardens from the comfort of our own homes.

The new cider, which is made from red apples, has a gorgeous blush pink colour, making it one of the most Instagrammable alcoholic drinks on supermarket shelves.

The new tipple is available in 500ml bottles and 330ml cans, and comes in at 4 per cent alcohol by volume (ABV).

If you want to get your hands on some, it’s available to buy in Asda stores now.

Each 500ml bottle costs £2.20, or you can get four for £6 - that works out at £1.50 a bottle, which will save you a total of £2.80.

The supermarket is also selling ten cans of the cider for £10 - that works out at £1 per can.

Tesco will also be selling the fruity beverage, but it won’t hit stores until August 12.

500ml bottles will be a little more expensive at Tesco, costing £6 for three – working out at £2 per drink.

Speaking about the cider’s launch, head of marketing at Koppaberg, Rob Salvesen, said: "Rosé cider has proven extremely popular in America, growing to be almost twice the size of the fruit cider category, which is why we are extremely excited to be launching our own to the UK market.

“Our focus on crisp, refreshing flavour, combined with our positioning as marketing leaders in fruit refreshment is what we feel will set us apart from other pink ciders on the market this summer."

The cider isn’t the first pink Koppaberg product to hit shelves.

Earlier this year Koppaberg released its first pink gin (Koppaberg)

Earlier this summer the Swedish drinks company released its first gin – a premium pink strawberry and lime flavour spirit.

The gin is currently being sold in several supermarkets, but is currently cheapest in Sainsbury’s, where it costs £18 for a 70cl bottle.
