Kool & The Gang and Level 42 announced for Electric Soul Festival 2019 at the O2: How to get tickets

The line-up for Electric Soul Festival has been revealed, with the likes of Kool & The Gang, Level 42, Heather Smalls and The Brand New Heavies all performing at the O2.

Trevor Nelson will host the new event on September 7, which marks one of the biggest funk and soul celebrations in the capital.

As well as live music, the event will include food stalls and live DJs, as well as a host of pop-up record shops.

Kool & The Gang – who are also headlining El Dorado Festival this year – are one of the most influential funk and soul bands ever, having sold more than 70 million records since the mid 60s. Level 42, meanwhile, are one of the most successful British jazz-funk groups of all time, best known for 1986 hit Lessons in Love.

Speaking about the festival, Nelson said: “I’m unbelievably excited to host the first ever Electric Soul Festival. We have massive day festivals for every other type of genre, so it’s about time we had one for funk and soul – the most influential and, obviously, my personal favourite kind of music!

“It’s an amazing line-up of acts that have sold millions across the globe, not to mention all the extra things that’ll be going on around The O2 across the day – I can’t wait!”

How to get tickets for Electric Soul Festival

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday, February 1. They are available to purchase here.
