Dinos Mavropanos has returned to training with Stuttgart after undergoing successful surgery on his knee.
The 22-year-old suffered a meniscus injury in October and required surgery on his knee which ruled him out for five weeks.
Mavropanos looked solid on his debut against Bayer Leverkusen last month and has become accustomed to German football after helping save 2. Bundesliga team Nuremberg from relegation last season, where he spent five months on loan.
Newly-promoted Stuttgart signed Mavropanos after he was identified by former Arsenal head of recruitment and current VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat, who initially brought the Greek defender to north London in 2018.
Capped at international level for Greece Under-21's, Mavropanos played seven Premier League games including a memorable debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Arsenal tied Mavropanos down to a new contract until 2023 before he was sent out on loan in July and there is belief that he can fight for a first team place at Emirates Stadium next season.

Shkodran Mustafi, David Luiz and Sokratis are expected to depart, while the futures of Calum Chambers and Rob Holding remain uncertain.
That would leave Arsenal with only Gabriel, Pablo Mari and William Saliba as the club's main centre back options.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is already drawing up plans with his recruitment team ahead of next summer's transfer market, although any incoming movement in January appears unlikely.
