NEW YORK -- The latest pass list for the New York State bar exam did not include the name of Kei Komuro, who last week married Mako, the eldest daughter of Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko.

Komuro, 30, took the bar exam in July. On Friday, the names of people who passed the exam were published on the website of the New York State Board of Law Examiners.

Of the 9,227 people who took the exam, 5,791 passed, according to the board, a success rate of 63%. However, the list published online only had the names of 5,785 people, six fewer than the number of successful candidates.

It is not known if Komuro passed the exam. The board said it would not comment on the reason the number of names on the pass list did not match the number of successful candidates.

Komuro graduated from a New York law school in May and has already begun working as an assistant at a law firm in Manhattan.
