Komatireddy Raj Gopal is old wine in new bottle in Munugode by-poll: Congress leader Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: Terming BJP candidate K Raj Gopal Reddy as old wine in new bottle and TRS candidate K Prabhakar Reddy as the one was who was rejected by them in 2018 elections, Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy urged the voters to give an opportunity to Palvai Sravanthi, daughter of their beloved leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy whom they elected for five terms earlier.

Holding road shows and addressing street corner meeting along with Sravanthi and MLC T Jeevan Reddy in Shivannagudem, Charla Gudem among other villages in the constituency on Monday, Revanth appealed to the people to realise that Raj Gopal is the same candidate who failed to address their problems from 2018 to 2022.

"Raj Gopal has only changed the party. He left the Congress which has six MLAs and joined BJP having only three MLAs. He betrayed Congress which made him a MP, MLC and MLA. And now he is saying he will finish off the Congress which gave him the political career. How can you trust such a man," Revanth asked a sizeable gathering in Sivannagudem in Munugode constituency.

The TPCC chief said there are nearly 1.20 lakh women voters in the constituency who have the power to teach TRS and BJP a lesson. "If you vote en masse to Sravanthi, she will win. Both TRS and BJP candidates are ex-MLAs and you know they have not done anything for you. defeat them," he said.

Sravanthi said ex-MLA K Prabhakar Reddy of TRS has failed to get better compensation deal for all those who lost their land for Dindi and other projects. Those who lost their land for Mallannasagar project which supplies water to the CM's farm house in Erravelli, got Rs 20 lakh per acre but people of Sivannagudem and Charla Gudem are being offered only Rs 4 to Rs 5 lakh per acre. What injustice is this, she asked?

MLC T Jeevan Reddy said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government which waived off Rs 12 lakh crore debts of corporates, is not willing to waive off Rs 1 lakh crop loans of farmers in the country. Even CM KCR has announced crop loan waiver but has not implemented it in toto. Let Raj Gopal convince BJP government to first reduce the prices of gas, diesel and petrol and then ask votes. "This the best opportunity to teach TRs and BJP a lesson," he said.
