KOLKATA: A Class-XII student was found hanging at a Haridevpur hostel on Tuesday. Cops suspect that the victim (20), a student of a missionary school at Bishnupur, might have died by suicide.
"We received information around 8.15am from MR Bangur Hospital about the student's death," said DC (Behala) Soumya Roy.
"During inquiry, we spoke to his roommates and family. There are 11 boys staying in the hostel. The victim was found hanging with a bed sheet from a ceiling fan by his hostel mates. He was taken to MR Bangur by nurses and other hostel inmates. It was learnt that he had an affair with a girl. His roommate said he had talked several times to her but was upset over certain issues," said Roy.
