Kolkata Police's number of active Covid cases falls to 25

KOLKATA: The number of cases in Kolkata Police in the latest wave stands at 47, up from 31 reported about 10 days ago. But there are just 25 active cases. Lalbazar Welfare Cell, which has been monitoring cases within the force for the past two years, said there has been some good news in the past 48 hours. "The number of daily active cases has come down," said an officer.

The daily numbers had led cops to open the quarantine centre facility at Howrah's Police training facility close to the Dumurjola Stadium. "We have, so far, not admitted any patient there. In fact, not a single case after the first week of July has seen hospitalisation. The infected are recovering at home," said an officer. The figures also indicate that the police barracks have been safer for cops.
