Kolkata: 2 snatchers held in New Town

New Town Kolkata Bidhannagar North 24 Parganas Police

KOLKATA: Bidhannagar Police on Wednesday arrested two - Rakibul Islam and Iyamin Molla - for snatching a chain from a woman and her daughter who were returning home from an evening walk in New Town on July 14. Both are residents of Haroa in North 24 Parganas and are history-sheeters.

Apart from snatching the chain from Deepti Yadav at DC Block in New Town, the duo had also snatched another chain from a DF Block resident on July 28. "The two seem to have some involvement in other thefts in the area as well," said an officer. tnn
