KOCHI: A 50-year-old man was arrested by Infopark police for allegedly sexually harassing women at an apartment complex in Kakkanad.
The accused has been identified as Gopinath (50), a Tamil Nadu native, who was staying for rent at an apartment at Kakkanad.
The incident happened at an apartment complex in Edachira. The women were returning after visiting a friend at one of the flats when the incident happened.
The women were about to get out from the lift to the ground floor of the building when the man forced his way into the lift. He displayed vulgar gestures and sexually harassed them.
The accused was tracked down using CCTV footage.
Police said that his arrest has been recorded and he will be produced before a magistrate on Saturday.
