KOCHI: An impending financial crisis has forced Fort Kochi resident Perumal Parambil Noushad to auction his treasured gift, a t-shirt autographed by football legend Diego Maradona.
Noushad, who was working in the Gulf in the 90s, was later hired by Al Wasal FC and appointed as Maradona’s personal hairdresser. “I will auction the t-shirt in Feb.
The platform has not been decided, but if any firm is ready to help me, it will be great. I’m in a terrible situation as I rarely get any work or a proper meal. I have a kidney ailment. My hope is that someone buys the shirt for a good price,” he said, adding that Maradona had signed the shirt for his son. tnn
