Kobe Bryant's widow asks judge to amend his trust to include their youngest daughter Capri

Kobe Bryant’s widow Vanessa has requested a judge to include youngest daughter Capri in the NBA legend’s trust.

The former Los Angeles Lakers’ nine-month-old daughter was born after the document was last updated.

And now, according to a ‘petition to modify trust’ filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday, Vanessa Bryant has made a move to add Capri to her other two sisters on the document.

Capri is the youngest Bryant child, with Natalia, 16, two-year-old Bianka and Gianna, 13, who also tragically passed away in the helicopter accident.

Bryant created the document in 2003, though it has been amended on several occasions, including the most recent one in 2017.

Gianna, also known as Gigi, and her 44-year-old dad were killed along with seven others when their helicopter crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California, on 26 January.

The sudden passing of Bryant, an 18-time All-Star who won five NBA championships in a glittering career, has been celebrated by the entire sporting world for his 20-year career in Los Angeles.

Michael Jordan was one of many who paid tribute to Bryant and the impact he had on the sport.

“When Kobe Bryant died, a piece of me died,” Jordan said. “Maybe it surprised people… but we were very close friends. Everyone always wanted to talk about the comparisons between he and I. I just wanted to talk about Kobe.

“At first, it was an aggravation. But then it turned into a certain passion. This kid had passion like you would never know.

“As I got to know him, I wanted to be the best big brother that I could be.”
