Knowsley Safari Park is looking for a temporary community ranger.
The new role, which is expected to last until September this year, is with the Knowsley Safari Foundation.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the role is intended to help the local community connect with the park's natural heritage.

The successful applicant will also assist the return of red squirrels to the estate , and try and raise awareness around their conservation.
This role will also involve training up volunteers and helping with data collection.
Essential criteria for the role includes an MSc degree or equivalent, a clean driving licence, previous experience of community engagement and a knowledge of British wildlife.
The successful applicant should also be familiar with health and safety legislation and be comfortable dealing with members of the public.
The role has funding to September this year but may be extended. It is also subject to a full check with the Disclosure & Barring Service.
