Positive Covid tests rose slightly in Knowsley, while everywhere else in the Liverpool City Region recorded decreases.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the borough of Knowsley recorded 580 infections in the week ending August 1 - 17 more cases than in the week before.

This means the week on week percentage change was a 3% increase in Knowsley.
The five other areas of the Liverpool City Region all recorded falls in the percentage change week on week.
In Liverpool they fell by 6%; in Halton they fell by 15%; in Wirral they fell by 17%; in Sefton they dropped by 9%: and in St Helens they fell by 12%. In the Liverpool City Region overall, they fell by 9%.
Positive tests dropped in Warrington, West Lancs, and Cheshire West and Chester.
In England, infections fell. In the week ending August 1, the country had 159,279 coronavirus cases, which is 39,022 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 1,761 cases in the week ending August 1, which is 103 fewer cases than in the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 6%.
The latest infection rate was 351.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
There were 925 positive tests in the week ending August 1, which is 193 fewer cases than in the previous week. Wirral's week-on-week percentage change decreased by 17%. The latest infection rate was 285.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 359 positive tests over the last week, which is 63 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 15% in the week ending August 1. The latest infection rate is 276.7 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There were 637 positive tests in the week ending August 1, which is 88 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate was 351.7 cases per 100,000 people. The week-on-week percentage change in St Helens decreased by 12%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 580 cases in the week ending August 1, which is 17 more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 380.4 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases increased by 3% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 5,108 positive tests over in the week ending August 1, which is 517 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week on week percentage change decreased by 9%. The latest infection rate is 299.99 cases per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 368 coronavirus cases in the week ending August 1, which is 59 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was an infection rate of 321.41 per 100,000 people, and there was a week on week percentage decrease of 14% in infections.
Warrington
There were 686 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending August 1, which is 143 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week on week percentage figure decreased by 17%. There was an infection rate of 327.61 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 907 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending August 1, which is 129 fewer cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 263.80 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week on week percentage decrease of 13% in cases.
England
In England in the week ending August 1, there was an infection rate of 281.66 per 100,000 people.
The nation recorded 159,279 coronavirus cases, which is 39,022 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
