We don’t often discuss the Michigan football team on the Buckeyes Wire and typically leave that to our friends at Wolverines Wire, but with their spring game ending on Saturday, it may be time to reflect on some recent news and rumors that have been floating around Ann Arbor.
As they say, keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer, so that’s what we’re doing here. Despite the Wolverines struggles on the football field over the last few years, and Ohio State’s dominance for about two decades now, the program is still technically “the winningest program of all time” (queue the leather helmets), and have the ability and history to turn things around.
Michigan is still the program Buckey Nation loves to hate on, so keeping tabs is in everyone’s best interest. Here are some of the news and nuggets from TTUN.
NEXT … The quarterback situation
Cade McNamara takes the lead in the quarterback competition
The Michigan Spring game was closed for the public and the media, but the latest reports that have come out indicate that former four-star recruit, Cade McNamara had a showing good enough to distance himself from J.J. McCarthy.
Michigan just wrapped up its spring game in Ann Arbor, and I’m told Cade McNamara and J.J. McCarthy both started at QB. McNamara was named game MVP, leading the Maize team to a 22-10 win.

NEXT … Diving into the uniform bliss
Wolverines wear all blue uniforms
Despite there being no media or fans in attendance, there have been some photos of the event that have come out and the second most interesting tidbit was that one team was wearing all blue uniforms. We have seen Michigan wear all maize, but all blue is something new and we will see if they bring it out for the games.
Michigan absolutely needs the blue on blue its incredible https://t.co/xtJkTEqUnX

NEXT … What about the running backs?
Do the Wolverines have a star at running back?
There is an insane amount of buzz surrounding Michigan’s newly acquired five-star running back Donovan Edwards. It is no secret that the once rich history of star backs like Chris Perry, Anthony Thomas & Tim Biakabutuka has come to a halting stop in Ann Arbor, but the reports about Edwards should have Buckeye fans worried.
