Pictures from the scene show firefighters tackling a blaze at a high rise block of flats in Knightswood.
Four Scottish Fire and Rescue Service engines and an aerial appliance were called to the scene in Kirkton Avenue in the north west of the city around 5.45am this morning (Tuesday).
Two fire crews still remain at the scene just now. Local councillor Eva Murray thanked emergency services for their quick response.
She also tweeted one man is believed to have been taken to hospital.
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contact for comment on this.
A fire service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a fire at multi-storey flats in Kirkton Avenue at around 5.45am.
"We mobilised four appliances and one aerial appliance.
"We are still in attendance and it is an ongoing incident."
