Knightsbridge stabbing: Man knifed to death yards from Harrods in night of bloodshed across London

A man has been stabbed to death in Knightsbridge, yards from designer department store Harrods, in a night of bloodshed in the capital.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead in Brompton Road shortly before 1am today.

It came just hours before another fatal stabbing in Greenwich.

There have now been three such incidents in London in less than 24 hours, after a broad daylight killing in north east London yesterday afternoon.

On the Knightsbridge incident, a Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man unconscious at the scene.

"The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 00:39hrs.

"Next of kin are in the process of being informed. Formal identification and a post mortem will take place in due course."

Police said another man was injured and taken to hospital where he is in a serious condition.

On Thursday around 2pm, a man believed to be aged in his 20s was stabbed to death in Clarence Mews in Lower Clapton.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

At around 3am on Friday morning, police were called to reports of a stabbing in Bronze Street, Greenwich.

A wounded man was found at the scene and pronounced dead about half an hour later.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
