Knights players ready to tackle new challenge for a good cause

NEWCASTLE Knights players are tackling a challenge of a different kind today, lending a hand at McDonald's to help sick and injured kids.

Daniel Saifiti, Sione Mata'uti, Jayden Brailey, Edrick Lee, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Phoenix Crossland, Herman Ese'ese, Kurt Mann, Aiden Guerra and Tim Glasby are taking part in McHappy Day on Saturday, visiting McDonald's restaurants across the Hunter to meet with customers, families and crew members.

All funds raised on McHappy Day will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities, which support families with seriously sick and injured children.

Since it first started in 1991, McHappy Day has raised more than $46 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Where to see them

Jayden Brailey and Edrick Lee will be at McDonald's Hexham, 23 Maitland Road, Hexham, along with Ronald McDonald House Charities northern NSW chief executive Ross Bingham, from 11am to midday.

Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Phoenix Crossland will be at McDonald's Toronto, Cary Street, Toronto from 11am to midday.

Daniel Saifiti and Sione Mata'uti will be at McDonald's Broadmeadow, 114 Lambton Road, Broadmeadow from 11am to midday.

Aiden Guerra and Tim Glasby will be at McDonald's Mayfield, Mayfield Road, Maitland from 11am to midday.

Herman Ese'ese and Kurt Mann will be at McDonald's Stockland Greenhills Food Court II, 1 Molly Morgan Drive, East Maitland from 11am to midday.
