NEWCASTLE'S aborted Saturday match against Canberra Raiders will kick off at 1.50pm on Sunday after a scramble by the NRL to keep its competition rolling.
Queensland's lockdown forced the games off the agenda on Saturday, but ARL Commission chairman Peter V'Landys said there was "no threat" to the competition.
The Knights game will start a triple header on Sunday at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.
The Hunter side will take on Canberra from 1.50pm before Melbourne and Penrith play at 4pm. The Dragons and Rabbitohs, due to be the first game on Saturday, will now be played at 6.25pm.
The two matches originally planned for Sunday will shift to Monday now.
While V'Landys said the snap lockdown was a minor inconvenience compared to what the competition overcame in 2020, strict conditions will apply during Queensland's lockdown.
Level four protocols will be in place. That means the use of one venue, daily testing for players and compulsory masks for staff and officials.
Reduced personnel will attend the games, which will be played without spectators.
