'Knifeman rampage' in Pollokshields, Glasgow, 'leaves three injured'

Police rushed to Pollokshields in Glasgow last night after a 'knifeman' went on a 'rampage'.

Around 6.30pm witnesses say a man with a knife was slashing people in Forth Street, as well as running in and out of shops.

A number of people are understood to have confronted the alleged knifeman and three people are said to have to have been injured.

One person was arrested following the disturbance but later released pending further inquiries."

Pictures have emerged of injuries said to have been sustained during the incident.

One person had a deep slash in his hand.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 6.30pm on Wednesday, police were called to a report of a disturbance in Forth Street.

"Emergency services attended.

"One man was taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted.

"One man was arrested and later released pending further inquiries."
