A knifeman has been locked up for 15 years for stabbing a teenager so savagely, he suffered three cardiac arrests and almost died.
Christopher Keenan, 20, stabbed the 18-year-old youth on a public footpath near a Morrisons supermarket in August.
Keenan, from Wrexham, also pleaded guilty to robbing a boy of 15 of a phone, reports North Wales Live.
At Mold Crown Court, Judge David Hale said the older teenager's life was only saved due to the "fantastic skills" medics at Wrexham Maelor's A&E.
Judge Hale said he stabbed an 18-year-old so brutally he almost died.
Keenan would serve 10 years behind bars and be on licence for eight years, the judge added.
