Knifeman in skull mask threatens Glasgow shop worker in daylight robbery

A shop worker was threatened at knife-point by robber wearing a terrifying skull mask.

The thug struck at the Day to Day Xpress store in Kennilworth Crescent, Bearsden shortly after 5pm yesterday.

Police say the 40-year-old man working in the store when the man threatened him with a knife and demanded cash.

The suspect made off with a three figure sum of cash, leaving the man in a state of shock.

The man is described as 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a black Adidas top with stripes down the arms and a while stripe across the chest, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. He also had on a white skull Halloween type mask.

PC Scott Hawkins said: "The victim was left extremely shaken following this robbery.

"I am asking for anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Day to Day Xpress shop just before or after this incident to come forward if they saw or heard anything which might help us in this enquiry."
