The incident occurred at around 7.10pm within My Local Store in Cedar Drive when a man wearing a balaclava entered.

Two women were working in the shop when a man wearing a balaclava entered. He produced a knife and assaulted the 40 year old female member of staff, demanding money.

"We know that there were people within the area at the time who will have seen something and we are urging them to get in touch.

"This was a terrifying ordeal for both women working in the store and it is vital we trace the person responsible.

"Think back, where were you last Wednesday evening? We are also appealing for those with dash-cam footage or personal CCTV to check back and get in touch."
