A drug dealer has admitted carrying out a sword attack on a Scots cop at the home he dealt the deadly drugs from.
Heroin dealer Christopher Gillen assaulted Police Constable Ewan Bell with the deadly weapon in Ayr.
And after being allowed bail over the attack, he went on to cause another rammy in the town while armed with a knife.
Ayr Sheriff Court heard yesterday that Gillen struck the officer on the body with the sword on January 8 last year.

The attack took place at Gillen's home in Church Court.
He also admitted a charge of dealing heroin from the same property on November 9, 2019, and January 8, 2020.
When he dealt the drugs on the earlier date, he was on bail over two other Ayr Sheriff Court cases, which have since been disposed of.

His not guilty pleas were accepted to charges that he had also dealt cocaine from the property and had obstructed officers carrying out a drug search by refusing to open the door, pushing a sword through the letterbox and trying to strike officers with the weapon.
Gillen, 33, and his partner Stacey Clark, 30, admitted causing a rammy in the town’s James Street on January 24.
The court heard they behaved in a threatening or abusive way, which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm by shouting, swearing, making threats and repeatedly kicking a door.
At the time of the rammy, Gillen was also armed with a knife, which he brandished while committing the offence.
Gillen and Clark admitted their guilt over the offences during a short hearing yesterday morning.
Sheriff John Montgomery deferred sentence for reports and Gillen was remanded in custody while Clark had her bail continued. Both are set to learn their fate next month.
