Knife suspect named after 'disturbance' in street

A knife suspect has been named after police were called to a disturbance.

Merseyside Police were called to Bentinck Street in Birkenhead, Wirral, at around 5pm on Thursday, March 2, following reports of a disturbance. Once officers arrived at the scene they arrested a man and took him to a police station.

The force has now confirmed Charlie Farragher, 23, of Vittoria Street, in Birkenhead, has been charged with possession of a knife/blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton Adult Remand Court tomorrow (Saturday, March 4).
