Police recovered a knife after two teenage girls were arrested following a bin blaze.
The girls, aged 18 and 15 were initially arrested by police in St Helens town centre on suspicion of arson after a waste bin was found on fire on Saturday.
The older of the two girls was also found to be in possession of a large locking 'flick knife'.

Photographs from Merseyside Police show the council waste bin well alight.
In a statement, Merseyside Police said: "Our officers arrived for duty to be immediately deployed to the town centre where an 18 year old female and a 16 year old female were arrested on suspicion of arson. The 18 year old female was also found to be in possession of a locking 'flick' knife.
"Officers have also assisted some of our more vulnerable victims of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour within the town. Staffed a crime scene and continually attended at the Bus Station and several other locations across the town to reports of youths causing misery to members of the public."
