Knife held to boy's neck as he was robbed of his belongings in 'terrifying ordeal'

Detectives are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was robbed by three men at knife-point during an incident in West Bridgford.

Police say the boy was walking down a path through Compton Acres, known locally as 'yellow brick road', when he was pushed to the floor from behind.

The three men then demanded his belongings before one of them reportedly produced a knife and held it to the victim's neck.

The boy suffered cuts and grazes after falling to the floor, and handed the men his iPhone, laptop, wallet, watch, rings, keys and headphones.

The suspects then ran off in the direction of Greythorn Drive.

Two of the suspects are white and between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 9ins, and the third is black and about 6ft tall. They were all wearing dark clothing.

The robbery took place at around 5.45pm on Friday, November 6.

Detective Constable Phil Wallis, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This incident would have been a terrifying ordeal for the victim and we are working very hard to trace those responsible.

"We are carrying out extensive enquiries and policing patrols have been increased in the area to provide reassurance as we continue with our investigation.

“I would ask that anyone who has any information about this incident to please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"If you have any information which could help us with our enquiries please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 472 of November 6, 2020, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
