KMRL to continue to operate metro services till 10.30pm

KOCHI: Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) will continue to operate Metro services up to 10.30pm, until further notice.

Based on the commuters’ request, KMRL had extended its train services up to 10.30pm from December 20 to January 5 on a trial basis. It was following the overwhelming response from commuters that KMRL decided to continue the extension of timings for some more days.

KMRL has informed that the train frequency from 9.30pm to 10.30pm will be 20 minutes and the last train from terminal stations (Aluva and Petta) will depart at 10.30pm.

Kochi Metro has also decided to extend train services up to 11pm from January 6 to 9, aiming to facilitate commuters to conduct festive shopping near Metro stations.

On these days, the trains will be operated at 20 minutes frequency and last train from both terminal stations (Aluva and Petta) will depart at 11pm.
