KMITL rector turns rapper to welcome new students

Yawn. Not anymore!

The president of King Mongkut's Institue of Technology Ladkrabang has found a way to keep new students awake at the orientation programme.

He rapped them all.

The new students on Monday found the event on their first day at the university held what no other colleges had to offer.

President Suchatvee Suwansawat, 46, dropped his suit for a dragon-pattern jacket and a baseball cap while rapping his way onto the stage.

"Don't want students to sleep during the orientation like in the old days. This year, Phi Ae (AKA: PA Boy Ladkrabang) decided to introduce KMITL in a rap," he wrote on his Facebook page, referring to his nickname.

He and other deans had rehearsed the rap exclusively for the students, welcoming them to the KMITL community.

The show was meant to give them support for a good start as university students, he said.
