Klutch Sports forward Darius Bazley goes in 1st round to Thunder

After taking an unconventional route to the NBA draft by taking a unique internship with New Balance, Klutch Sports forward Darius Bazley was selected with the 23rd pick in the NBA draft.

After a serious of trade, that pick ended up with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Bazley made waves last fall after electing to de-commit from Syracuse before declaring for the G League. After deciding to pass on the G League, he took a unique internship with New Balance that was worth as much as $14 million.

So it appears that the unconventional path taken by Bazley and his agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports eventually paid off, as he landed with a perennial playoff team that could use his playmaking in the frontcourt.

Along with Darius Garland going at No. 5 to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Klutch Sports had two players go in the first round of Thursday’s draft.
